In terms of revenue, Mesa Air Group at one point would be considered a major airline carrier as it has over $1 billion annual revenue earnings, however it does not qualify for major status because its aircraft seat fewer than 100 people. At its peak during September 2007, Mesa Air Group operated 201 aircraft. On January 5, 2010, Mesa Air Group filed for bankruptcy.
